Obituary of Edna Gertrude Gaynes

The passing of Edna Gaynes of Ellerdale Street occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 8, 2013 after a period of failing health. She was born on December 9, 1922 in Saint John to the late Walter and Mabel (London) Gaynes. Edna worked for Willett Fruit Company Ltd. for many years until her retirement. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Parish and a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the CWL. She is survived by her special friends the Goguen Family. Edna was predeceased by her parents and sisters: Jean and Ellen. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 4CS at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Edna, during her time with them. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the CA-R-MA Saint John would be appreciated by the family.
