Heinz Boye

Obituary of Heinz Boye

It is with great sadness that the family of Heinz Boye announces his passing, which occurred at Embassy Hall, Shannex, Quispamsis, on August 16, 2013. Born in Hanau, Germany on December 17, 1931, Heinz was the youngest son of the late Karl and Else (Körner) Boye. Heinz and his late wife, Brigitte (Golde), immigrated to Canada in 1956. They settled in Hamilton, Ontario where Heinz worked as a pipefitter with Local 67 until his retirement. In his younger years, Heinz and his wife enjoyed travelling to Europe, including many trips to Germany and also the sunny south, but nothing gave him more pleasure than entertaining friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. Heinz and his wife, looking for a quieter life and to be closer to family, moved to Salt Springs, where they spent endless hours clearing trees and making trails through the mountainside. Upon his wife’s passing, Heinz moved to Sussex, where he lived for several years. He is survived by his sister, Else Klimeika of New Jersey; his sister-in-law, Erika Boye of Upham; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Brigitte; and brothers: Karl, Edmund, and Karl. In keeping with Heinz’s wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com
