Obituary of Phyllis Doreen Walker

With profound sadness, the family of Phyllis Doreen Walker announce her passing which occurred peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at home in her 82nd year. She was the devoted loving wife to Edward for 63 years. She is survived by four children, Kathryn (Michel), Ed (Donna), Lynn (Marc), and Jamie (Louise). She was proud to have seven grandchildren, Holly and Perry, Corey and Troy, Adam and Alex, and Caitlin. She is predeceased by her parents, Sophia & Harry Baxter. Besides her children and husband, she is survived by six siblings, Bob, Louise, Harry, John, Holly, and Winston. She was predeceased by one brother, Nelson, and an infant sister, Barbara Anne. Phyllis loved fashion up until the day she passed, always the fashionista. She was described as a classic beautiful lady in every way. She was the strong head of the household for as long as she could and made sure that her soul mate was well looked after when she couldn’t do it anymore. Starting at an early age, there were many who depended on her for her strength, wisdom, and guidance. Her proudest accomplishments were her love affair with her husband and her devotion to her mother until her passing. All loved her dearly and will feel the loss of her sweet soul for a long time to come. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, March 20. 2012 from 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
