Obituary of Aina Sofija Rans

Rans, Aina Sofija - Surrounded by her family, Aina Sofija Rans passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1924 in Riga, Latvia. Aina was the wife of the late Voldemars Rans and a daughter of the late Pitres and Julija Veveris of Riga, Latvia. She is survived by her sons Richard (Bonnie) of Saint John and Zigmund (Laurie) of Quispamsis , grandchildren Derek, Erika, Sofija, Benjamin, and Julija. She was predeceased by her two brothers Ziedonis and Miervaldis. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visiting on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment to take place at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery, St. Andrews, NB in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke or the donors choice.
