Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of the family. Lorne left this world much to soon.
Lorne was a kind generous man and a fine cousin. I have many fond memories of his visits to my Mom and Dad, and Grampy Amos in Doaktown.
When my brother Derral was ill in the Saint John Regional Hospital, he visited him many times which was such a blessing. On another occasion my sister Joy and I had our Mom down to see Daniel O’Donnell show and Lorne met us for breakfast so we could have a visit. We were planning on buying him his breakfast and before we got the chance he had paid for ours.
We were all so touched by his loving tribute to his parents when we had our Amos reunion. My nephew still comments about this.
Love and may God give you strength and courage in your grief.

Tracy, I am so sorry about Lorne. The last 8 years seeing him every single month makes me feel honored to know just a portion of his life story. He always made me laughed when he shared his ole stories. I will miss him terribly....I may even miss seeing the dogs just a bit:) thank you for allowing me to play a small role in your life Lorne, until we meet again friend.

Tracy, I had the pleasure of singing with Lorne with the Ambassadors, and we always had a great time teasing Carol. I didn't see him much after the group folded, occassionally at Trinity when he'd drop in to check on you, I suppose, but he always had a big hello for me when we met, and brought me up to date on what he was up to, He also usually had and a few kind words about what I was up to, and we always spoke of our time singing with Carol as a good event in our lives. I wish we could have done it forever...but nothing lasts forever, expect memories, and I am sure you have some good ones, and I hope they will be a comfort to you at this trying time. Blessings. I learned a lot about how to present my self to the public from Lorne. Beginning with when he lectured at the MPF Police Academy in 1976. Later on he became one of my supervisors. Lorne always made sure you knew you had done a good job and that mistakes were human and something to learn from. He could motivate a room full of policemen at a union meeting or in a pre shift briefing. Once he took me to get my hair cut because he knew I had no money and was working overtime to make up for a pay loss. I tried to pay him back on pay day and he would not hear of it and threatened to throw me out of the office. He told me he did something for me, to help me out, not to indebt me to him. No one but my wife ever heard this story. Lorne will be well remembered. Sincere condolences from Dave and Beth Hale and family to the family of Lorne Saunders.
