Obituary of Vera Glendeen Gray
The death of Vera 'Glendeen' Gray, wife of Charles 'Gordon' Gray Sr., occurred on March 24, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose M. and Ellis E. (Chapman) Fairweather. She was employed as Credit Card Supervisor with Irving Oil before her retirement. She was a member of the Glooscap Campers for 30 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Deborah A. Sewell and her husband Allan of Mississauga, ON, her son Charles G. (Charlie) Gray Jr. and his wife Teresa of Saint John, her sisters Phyllis Gillis of Moncton, NB, Geneva Seaman and her husband Ronald of Moncton, NB, Lois Kerwin and her husband Jack of Blockhouse, NS, her grandsons Michael Sewell and Christopher Gray, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Roy, Ivan, Ronald, Blair and Kenneth Fairweather, her sister Doris Spencer and her infant sister Shirley. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2003, at 11:00 AM, from Bay View Chapel. Following the service cremation will take place at Brenan's Crematorium. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the SJRH Dialysis Department would be appreciated.
