Obituary of Skyler Emile Vandenberghe

The death of Skyler Emile Vandenberghe, of Welsford, New Brunswick, cherished son of Willard 'Bill' and Sandra (Hayes) Vandenberghe, occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 7, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Skyler was born in Saint John on April 30, 1992, he was a happy and loving little boy who loved music, school, animals, camping and boat rides. Skyler loved to have people around him and enjoyed the company of family and his many friends. He will be sadly missed. Besides his parents, Bill and Sandra, he is survived by his grandmother, Elva Sabean, grandfather, Leo Hayes and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Doris Hayes, grandfather's, Emile Vandenberghe and Warden Sabean. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Westfield, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Child Life Department or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. The family would like to express their thanks to the Doctor's and Staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for their generous outpouring of kindness, skill and compassion shown to us and Skyler, over the past years.
