Obituary of Harold Francis Crawford

The death of Mr. Harold (Boss) Francis Crawford of Chance Harbour, husband of Helen (Bright) Crawford occurred on June 19, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Chance Harbour, NB he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Tiner) Crawford. Harold worked as a longshoreman for the Port of Saint John for 35 years, a member of the International Longshoreman's Association Local #273, he loved camping at Pleasant Lake, Maine, avid baseball fan and bird watching. Harold is survived by five sons, Ivan (Maxine) of Maces Bay, Frank of Dipper Harbour, Richard (Marilyn) of West Saint John, Everett (Marion) of Musquash and Wendell (Tammy) of Chance Harbour, two daughters, Wanda (Gary) Turner of West Saint John, Shirley (Tim) Fraser of Rothesay, two brothers Paul (Betty), Barry (Norma) both of Chance Harbour, two sisters Marion Bright of Chance Harbour, Shirley (Wendell) McAllister of Lorneville, seven grandchildren, Corey, Amanda, Lisa, Krista, Jordan, Jamison and Paige, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home 1461 Manawagonish , Saint John (506-634-7425) with visiting on Friday, June 20, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21, 2003 from Brenan's Bay View Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Dipper Harbour Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
