Obituary of Neil Bulyea Ebbett

The death of Neil Bulyea Ebbett, husband of Evelyn (Armstrong) Ebbett of Saint John, occurred on Sept 24, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Gagetown on May 11, 1918, he was the son of the late Frederick C. and the late Dottie (Bulyea) Ebbett. He served overseas during World War II with the Signal Corp. Neil had been employed by Irving Oil Limited and retired in 1983 from the Department of Highways, Province of New Brunswick. Since 1958, he has been a member of The New Brunswick Lodge No.22 F. & A.M. Neil and Evelyn enjoyed many holidays in Florida and traveled widely on European and Southern Cruises. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of 52 years, brothers-in-law Russell Armstrong and his wife Anne, Thomas Armstrong and his wife Helen, Kenneth Armstrong and his wife Lillian, sisters-in-law Eileen Ebbett, Jean Webb, Verna Mills and her husband Don, Margaret Plested and her husband Patrick, Leah Armstrong. To many of his nieces and nephews, Neil was a loving uncle. His brothers Charles, Norman and Gordon and his sister Freda Dykeman predeceased him. At Neil's request there will be no visiting or funeral service. Following cremation at Brenans Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), the interment will take place on September 29, 2005, at 1:00 pm, at the Upper Hampstead Cemetery Remembrances made to the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
