The death of George Hollis "Holly" Alston of Grand Bay ? Westfield, NB, husband of Jean (Forret) Alston, occurred on Friday November 4, 2005 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Thelma (Knox) and the late George Alston. Holly was a retired Machinist employed by Clow Canada formerly McAvity and Sons. He is survived by his wife Jean (Forret) Alston, his mother Thelma Alston, two daughters, Lynn (Joe) Doucette of Saint John, NB and Judy (Gerard) McGuire of Rothesay, NB, one sister, Marlene (Edward) Hector of Grand Bay ? Westfield, NB, father-in-law, James Forret of Rothesay, NB, brother-in-law, Robert Kimball of Quispamsis, NB, sister-in-law Linda (Donald) Damon of Quispamsis, NB, sister-in-law Skeena Forret of Quispamsis, NB, three grandchildren, Andrew, John and Joseph, several nieces and nephews and special and devoted friend, Ralph Johnson. He was predeceased by his father George Alston, mother-in-law Dorothy Forret, sister-in-law Anne Kimball and brother-in-law Allan Forret. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Bay View Chapel, Saint John West, on Tuesday November 8, 2005 at 2 PM. Interment in Lorneville Sea View Cemetery. Remembrances to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or Donors' Choice would be appreciated.
