Obituary of A. Bernice Hersey

The death of A. Bernice Hersey, wife of the late Frank William Cosman and the late Clarence Hersey, occurred on November 17, 2005, at her residence, the Carleton Kirk Lodge. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late John Andrew and Deborah Sarah (Hunt) Phalen. Besides providing a lovely home for her family she was employed with Leo's Fruit Stand and Canada Air (Montreal). She was a member of St. Anne's Anglican Church, Ketepec, and belonged to the St. Anne's Church Ladies Aid. She is survived by her son J. Wesley Cosman and his wife Florence of Saint John, her daughter Eleanor Reicker of Saint John, her grandchildren Tony, Terry, Trudy, Tammy, Timmy, Tina, and Tricia, her 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Resting at Brenans Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 11:00 am, from the Church of the Good Shepherd. A private family interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Parish of Nerepis and St. John or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
