Obituary of JOHN B.W. - MILLS

MILLS, JOHN B.W. "MILZI"- It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John in Fort McMurray, AB. He was born on June 17, 1954 in Saint John, to James and Gladys (Parks) Mills. He was a graduate of Millidgeville North High School, New Brunswick Community College, Middleton Community College and Keyano College in Fort McMurray. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Suncor driving the "monster" trucks. He had worked for Cominco Mines for 17 years in Polaris, NWT and Halifax Shipyards. His passion was sports and was a die-hard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston red Sox. He spent many hours on the golf courses, especially at his Club in Palm Desert, CA, where he owned a condo. He was "Milzi" to numerous friends across Canada and the US and enjoyed many good times with them. He is survived by his sisters, Debbie MacDonald (Jack O'Bryant), Betty Mennie (Gerry), Sandra Colwell Rowbottom (Doug), Margaret Davidson, Barbara Palmer (John) and Roberta Cawley and his brother, James. He was a special uncle to Kimberley MacDonald, Randy Davidson, Jimmy Davidson, Wendy Hammound, Rhonda Vanderburg and Sean Colwell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425) with visiting on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held St. Luke's Anglican Church, 369 Main Street, Saint John, on Monday, February 20, 2006 at 9:00 AM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date.
