Obituary of Francis J. Pitre

The death of Francis J. 'Frank' Pitre, husband of the late Marie V. Pitre, occurred on March 31, 2006 at the Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Born in Collette, NB, he was the son of the late Francois Xavier and Roseline (Blaquiere) Pitre. He served with the Canadian Army during WW II have been injured twice during his tour of duty. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #69. He was employed with the DVA Hospital until his retirement. He is survived by his sons Louis and his wife Martha, Yvon and his wife Claire, all of Fredericton, his grandchildren Lorna, Michael and Jennifer, his sisters Regina Martin of Moncton, Rosalie Martin of Rogersville, Therese Maillet of Gardiner, Mass, and Mary Borgeois of Ontario. His brothers Pious and Victor and sisters Lorette and Bella predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at 12 Noon, from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
