Obituary of Leslie Arnold Campbell

The death of Mr. Leslie A. Campbell of Saint John West, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his nephew at his side on Friday, September 12, 2003. He was in his 95th. year. Born in Westfield, NB he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances (Gorham) Campbell. He served his country overseas with the Canadian Army in Italy and Holland before returning home to work the Winter Port, the City of Lancaster then later the City of Saint John after amalgamation. He is survived by only two of his twelve siblings; his sisters Olive Campbell of Saint John West and Etta Cronin of Chelsea, Mass. as well as his nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, Leslie is predeceased by his brothers; Carl, Gordon, Ernest, Edward, Leonard, Roy and sisters; Ida, Edna, Ethel and Irene. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd. with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
