Obituary of Barbara Ann Craig

The death of Barbara Ann Craig of the Nerepis, NB, occurred on Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late H. Roy and Doris Leona (Cain) McKiel. Mrs. Craig was formerly employed in the Admitting Department of the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Wesley United Church in Browns Flat and served with many volunteer organizations, including: Meals on Wheels, Saint John Regional Hospital, the Arts Council, member of the Saint John Volunteer Group, five years with the Festival by the Sea, member and past president of the Saint John Writers Group. She is survived by one son, Michael Craig(Lesley) of Port Coquitlam, BC; one daughter, Cathy Shannon (Gerry) of the Nerepis; five brothers, Douglas (Carol) of Browns Flat, Lawrence of Saint John, Brian (Barbara) of St. Martins, Wally (Joan) of Saint John and Chris (Linda) of Grand Bay-Westfield; two sisters, Sandra Daye (Donald) and Judy Belyea (Brian), both of Browns Flat; three grandchildren, Aimey Hastings, Craig Shannon and Madeline Craig; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Church, Browns Flat on Friday, September 19, 2003 at 11 am. Interment will take place at the Wesley United Church Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care, Wesley United Church or a Charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
