Obituary of Althea Irene Steeves

The death of Althea "Peggy" Irene Steeves of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Clarke Steeves, occurred on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, a daughter of the late John and Cora (Coulsey) Doherty. Survived by three sons: Terry Steeves of Bashaw, AB, Tim (Tracey) Steeves of Escondino, CA and Tom (Marlene) Steeves of Calgary, AB; one daughter, Hiadee (Raymond) Goldie of Saint John; one sister, Mary Barrett of Fredericton; six grandchildren: Christopher (Patty) Steeves, Tara (James) Skeoch, Jared (Angela) Steeves, Suzanne Steeves, Christian and Rebecca Goldie; three great-grandchildren: Carter Steeves, Ainsley Skeoch and Dallas Steeves; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Clarke; four brothers: William, John, Charles and Hazen Doherty; three sisters: Marguerite Troy, Estella Harris and Theresa Cusack. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2007 from Bay View Chapel at 1 pm. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Molus River, NB in the spring. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
