Obituary of S. Joan Rinehart

The death of Joan Rinehart of Saint John West, NB, wife of Gordon Rinehart, occurred on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born June 21, 1924 in Saint John, a daughter of the late John F. and Sarah (Cunningham) Abbott. Survived by her husband of 63 years, Gordon; daughters: Carol (Plen) Dickson of Miramichi and Vickie (Wayne) Albright of Woodstock, NB; sons: Ron (Cathie) of Keswick Ridge, NB and Kim (Teresa Mattix) of Nerepis, NB; sisters: Norma Halliday of Saint John, Shirley (Tom) Milam of Louisiana, USA and Nancy Brooks of Millstream, NB; a brother, Arthur Abbott of Saint John; sister-in-law, Anne Abbott of Fredericton, NB; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, John Abbott. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 1 pm. A private interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any charity of one's choice.
