Obituary of Edward Joseph Guimond

The death of Edouard (Eddy) Joseph Guimond of Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John, NB, husband of the late Doris (Babin) Guimond, occurred November 26, 2003. Born in Saint Louis de Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Jean and Lucie (Leger) Guimond. Eddy was a veteran of WW II, having survived a torpedo attack of his navy ship. He is a member of RCL Branch #69, Operating Engineers Local # 946 and ILA Local # 273. Eddy loved to watch hockey and political programming on television. He loved his family and grandchildren, he will be sadly missed. Eddy is survived by two sons, Norman Guimond, Moncton, NB, Roger (Alison), Saint John, NB, six daughters, Jeannine Richard (Walter McGinn), Saint John, NB, Bernice Guimond (Ken Otis), Saint John, NB, Valdine Tuckwell (Neil), Melbourne, Australia, Michelle Guimond, Saint John, NB, Suzanne Guimond, Saint John, NB, Denise Guimond, Saint John, NB, two brothers Raymond and Alex Guimond and one sister Florence Guimond all of Saint Louis de Kent, NB, nine grandchildren Sgt. Greg Richard, 101st Air Borne, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, USA, Colleen Richard, Saint John, NB, Nicole and Lisa Tuckwell, Australia, Paul and Stephanie Guimond and their mother Rose Marie Thibodeau Moncton, NB, Christopher Galbraith, Emily Morrison, Stephen Guimond, two step grandchildren John Morrison and Clifford Blair, one great grandchild Conor Richard, he is predeceased by brother Leopold Guimond, three sisters Freida Jones, Rita and Jeanette Arsenault, and son in law Dolphe Richard. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Friday 2-4, 7-9 PM. Funeral to be held in the Bay View Chapel at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2003. Interment following in Cedar Hill Extension Field of Honor.
