Obituary of Lorin Sidney Lomax

Lomax, Lorin Sidney … The death of Lorin "Boydie" Lomax of Little Lepreau, NB, husband of the late Cecilia Lomax, occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at home in Lepreau, he was a son of the late, Hazen and Bertha (Anthony) Lomax. Boydie operated Lorin's Service Station at Simms Corner for several years, he was then employed for Galbraith's Construction. Boydie was an avid card player and enjoyed bowling, he could be found driving around Lepreau enjoying the wildlife. Boydie was a well loved man with a heart of gold and always a smile. Survived by his sons, Bradley (Sharon) of Little Lepreau and Bruce (Giselle) of Martinon, NB, daughter, Wanda Adams (Glen) of Moss Glen, NB, step-son, Bob Walsh (Wanda) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, step-daughter, Karen Walsh of Tifton, GA, twin sister, Leota "Gertie" Brown, sister, Joyce Humphrey, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and his first wife, June March. Besides his wife, Boydie was predeceased by five brothers; Norman, Cecil, Basil, Theodore and Hazen Jr. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, (634-7425) with visiting on Friday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 pm. Funeral Service to take place at Bay View Chapel on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Interment to take place in Little Lepreau Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Little Lepreau Cemetery or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
