Harrity, Lucina - Passed away peacefully at the Dr. V. A Snow Nursing Home, on April 22nd, 2008, Lucina (Marie Elizabeth) nee Ferguson. Beloved wife of the late John F. Harrity, loving mother of Janet Murphy (Ken Lister), of Burlington, ON, and Kenneth Harrity (Barbara) of Dartmouth, NS; grandsons Nicholas Murphy (Rosa) of Guelph, ON, and J. Scott Harrity (Carmella) of Dartmouth, NS; grand-daughters, Jena Cote'(Gui), of Waverly NS, Shawna McGrath (Kevin) of Thunder Bay, ON; great-grandsons, Tyler and Dylan McGrath. Born in Tracadie NB, December 17,1922, daughter of the late Alice Ferguson (Alexina McMahon) and Arthur James Ferguson. Lucina attended the Holy Family Academy where she graduated with a degree in Home Economics and Domestic Sciences. She served in the Second World War (Cpl) C.W.A.C. as a translator and as Post Office Manager for the Department of National Defense. Survived by sisters, Annette Harrity (Robert) Michigan, Hedwidge Hayward, Doris Murphy, Ann-Marie Votour (Basil), all of Saint John, NB and Ruby Kinsley, London, ON; brothers Vianney (Rose) Tracadie, NB, Edouard (Donna) Ottawa, ON, Guy (Bertha), and Bernard all of Saint John, NB. Predeceased by her husband John, infant sons James Arthur and Frederick Wayne, sister Alexina Ferguson, infant brother George Edouard, brothers Adjutor, Vincent, Reginald, Delphis and Edmund. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (506-634-7425) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Dufferin Row, on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10am. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Dr V. A. Snow Centre Foundation, Hampton, NB.
