Obituary of Carol M. Whittaker

WHITTAKER, CAROL M.- The death of Carol Morgan Whittaker of Grand Bay- Westfield, NB, beloved wife of Glenn Whittaker, occurred on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Carleton Kirk Lodge, Saint John, NB. Born in Malden, MASS. USA, on January 3, 1923. Carol was employed as an accounting clerk with WCB of New Brunswick for many years. She was a member of River Valley Wesleyan Church, Grand Bay-Westfield where she was very active with her home group. She was a member of the Westside Red Hatters. She loved bowling and camping, and spending seven winters in Florida. Besides her husband Glenn, she is survived by her daughter, Carol J. (Paul) Brown of Madison, CT, USA; her son, Dr. James (Sadie) Calvin of Chicago IL. USA; step daughter, Susan (Ron) Burger of Sussex, NB; five grand children, Heidi J. Werth (Douglas), Heather J. Brown, Erik B. Brown (Kelly), James E. Calvin III, and Kaelen Calvin; step-granddaughter, Edith Ann Dow; step grandson Philip Whittaker (Sarah); six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents, William R. Murray and Ella A. Bell; her first husband, Mayor James E. Calvin; and her sister Norma Howland. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425, with visiting on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from River Valley Wesleyan Church, Grand Bay- Westfield, NB, on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
