Obituary of Paul Edward Garland

The death of Paul Edward Garland of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB occurred peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Born on June 28, 1946 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the Eric Garland and the late Jean Garland. Paul was a pipe fitter, a member of Local 213 and had recently retired. He enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and looked forward to playing Santa each year. Survived by his two sons, Michael Garland (Wendi Lawrence) of Vancouver and Dave Garland of Grand Bay … Westfield; his brother, Dr. Brian (Diane) Garland of Saint John; and one granddaughter, Mickayla Garland. He was predeceased by his mother. Paul will be missed by all, especially by his loving companions his two dogs Sam and Buffy. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 5 pm until the time of the service at 8:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
