Obituary of Clyde Alexander Neilson

The death of Clyde (Bud) Alexander Neilson of Magazine St, husband of the late Thelma (Lee) Neilson occurred on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at his residence. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Robert and Matilda (Laskey) Neilson. Bud had served in WWII in the Royal Canadian Army and saw service in Canada, England and Europe between 1940 and 1945, remained in the forces until his retirement in 1970. He was employed with the Federal Government as a supervisor in the Department of Manpower and Immigration until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. John the Baptist - St. Clement (Mission) Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 64. Bud is survived by one daughter Phyllis (Sam) Pedersen of Denmark, one sister Phyllis Spragg of Sussex, one brother-in-law Cedric (Grace) Lee of Saint John, one sister-in-law Phyllis Seeley of Moncton, five grandchildren Peter (Susanne), Michael (Helene), Philip, Jeffrey (Nicole), and Lee Ann, five great ? grandchildren; Elizabeth, Kristine, Freja, Gunhild and Alexander, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one son Robert, two brothers-in-law John Spragg and Reginald Seeley, two sisters; Margaret Maxwell and Joyce Hunter. By request there will be no funeral home visiting. There will be a memorial service on Friday, February 6, 2004 from Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home Chapel 1461 Manawagonish Road (506-634-7425) at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. There will be a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute service on Friday, February 6, 2004 at 10:45 am.
