Obituary of Verne Ambrose Levesque

Surrounded by his family, the death of Verne Levesque of Bonnell Lane, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 14, 2009. He was born in Hoyt, NB on January 19, 1946 to the late Albert and Joanne (Pelletier) Levesque. Verne worked as a welder for Atlantic Towing for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, horn carver and an all around handyman. Verne also was a loving husband, father, grandfather, godfather and a great friend. He leaves behind his long time partner Kim; their daughter, Mary and son in-law Dave; two granddaughters: Aleya and Jadyn; six sisters: Dorothy, Claudette (Blaine), Shirley (Jim), Jane (Ferman), Sue (Jim), Grace (George); seven brothers: Raymond (Carol), Joseph (Mary), Steve (Debbie), Phillip (Eunice), Scovil, Lloyd (Anna) and Wesley (Linda); one step sister, Dianne (Jim); very best friend, Ken; two special friends: Chris and Jason; two godchildren: Beau and Melissa and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Verne was predeceased by two brothers; Noel and Jerry. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will held from Bay View Chapel on Thursday, February 19, 2008 at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
