Obituary of Estrella Garrido Aiken

Surrounded by her family, the passing of Estrella Aiken occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 28, 2009. She was born on May 28, 1938 at Cebu, Philippines to the late Gorgonio and Dolores (Garrido) Cabilete. She moved back to Grand Bay-Westfield from Colorado in 2005 after her husband, Ernest Aiken passed away. Estrella worked for the Saint John School Board before moving to Colorado. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Reyes (Virgilio) of Grand Bay-Westfield; brother, Arturo Cabilete of Saint John, NB; eight nieces and nephews: Laura Franklin (Bruce) of Virginia, USA, Donny Reyes (Kelly) of Washington, DC, Jethello Cabilete, Jhoel Cabilete and Joy Cabilete all of Vancouver, BC, Jocelyn Matthews (Frank) of Germany and Jericho and Jed Cabilete both of Toronto, ON; one grandniece, Evelynn and one grandnephew, Tristan. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10 am at St. Matthews Church, Dollard Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield.
