Obituary of A. Joan Hayward

It is with tremendous sorrow that the family of Joan (Losier) Hayward announces her passing but with great joy that she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and with her daughter, Faye. Joan was born on February 5th, 1930 in Lancaster (Fairville) NB, daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Gorvett) Losier. Joan was a faithful servant of the Lord and served in many areas including Sunday School Teacher, Choir, Bible Studies, Children's Ministries and in other areas where she felt led to serve. She was always generous and loving to all she came in contact with. Joan had a great love of cooking and was well known for her apple pie and homemade biscuits and she loved to cook for various church functions. She was predeceased by her daughter Faye, 3 sisters: Beryl Murray, Audrey Pyne and Edith Kennedy; 3 Brothers: Kenneth Losier, Robert Losier and Lawrence Losier. Joan is survived by her husband and soul mate Jack L. Hayward Sr. Joan and Jack joyfully celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 4, 2008; 3 sons: Jack Hayward Jr. (Julie), Paul Hayward and Glenn Hayward (Mona) all of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; 4 sisters: Phyllis Norman of Saint John East, NB, Shirley Blizzard (Harold) of Red Head, NB, Carol Giggey (Bobby) and Marjorie Keith (Bernie) both of Saint John, NB; 7 Grandchildren: Jeremy Hayward (Patti Giberson) of Edmonton, Alberta, Mark Hayward of Fredericton, NB, Joanne Tulip (Shawn McGouey) of Saint John, NB, Michael Hayward of Toronto, Ontario, Sean Tulip of Saint John, NB, Natalie Porter (Andrew) and Jessica Hayward both of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; 1 Great Grandson, Matthew Tulip and several nieces and nephews. As her family, we would be remised not to mention her adopted grandson Adrian Gardner who she always encouraged and loved as her own. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, NB (506- 634-7425), with visiting hours on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held from Grand Bay Baptist Church, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Memorials to the Grand Bay Baptist Church Benevolent Fund or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
