Obituary of Verna May Cheley

Surrounded by her family, the passing of Verna Cheley, wife of the late Kenneth Cheley occurred at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born in Welsford on August 21, 1920. Verna was a loving mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to her family. She is survived by two sons: Roland (Kathy) of Nerepis and Harold of Sudbury, ON; five grandchildren Michael, Carol-Anne (Steve), David, Benjamin and Jana; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Glenna E. Gost; brother, Harold Murray; sisters, Jean, Betty, Hazel and Gladys and daughter-in-law, Diane Cheley. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). There will be no visitation. The funeral service will held from St. Paul's Church, Oak Point on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11 AM. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery following the service.
