Obituary of Stella Pearl Hall

The death of Stella Pearl Hall, wife of the late William R. Hall, occurred on May 7, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Berwick, NS, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Ella L. (Walker) Garland. Following her graduation from Saint John Vocational School, she was employed as a secretary in several Saint John based companies. She joined the Purchasing Department of the West Saint John Community Hospital in 1975 and retired from the Saint John Regional Hospital in 1990 to travel North America. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, reading, crossword puzzles, bowling and crafts. She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd. She is survived by her son James Hall (Christine Cormier) of Lepreau, her daughters Susan Hall (Bill McDonald) of Saint John, Lynn Hall (Peter Pitre) of Saint John, her brother Bill Garland (Gail) of Belleville, ON, her sisters Lillian Justason of Saint John, Shirley Silliphant (Bill) of Grand Bay-Westfield, her grandchildren Krista, Dane and Stephen, Eric Garland her uncle, Kathleen O'Neal her aunt and several nieces and nephews. Her daughter Janice R. Hall and her son Douglas R. Hall predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Following cremation the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 1:00 PM, from Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Road. The interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery followed by a reception at the church.
