Obituary of Wanda Joy Bjurstrom

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Wanda Joy Bjurstrom, wife of Kenneth Bjurstrom, which occurred on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 13, 1952 she was a daughter of Marie and the late Thomas Glab.  Wanda's greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in Saskatchewan. Wanda spent many hours gardening and planting flower beds. She enjoyed traveling, reading, animals, knitting, quilting, cooking and hiking.  Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Kenneth; children, Sherry (Kenneth) Hood of Rothesay; Kenneth Bjurstrom of Saint John; Kimberly Ann (Chris) Savoie of Saint John and Krista (Tim) Cullinan of Saint John; eight grandchildren, Kerrie, Robert, Brett, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Kelvin, Madison and Nate; one sister, Christina (Lorne) Jahn of Estevan, SK; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, Henry Glab.  Resting at Brenans Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from Brenan's Bay View Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
