Margaret was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.   She worked tirelessly both inside and outside of her home to care for her family. She spent many years working at Irving Oil, NBTel, Glen's Bakery in Grand Bay and at the Save Easy store in Saint John. She was a long time member of the Grand Bay Baptist Church and found comfort in her visits from Pastor Edward Powell. She belonged to the TOPS and Yoga clubs in Grand Bay for many years. Margaret enjoyed baking and cooking her family's favourite foods, especially for holidays and family gatherings. She always made her family's yearly birthday cakes and no one made cake better than "Nanny". She was a very talented cake decorator and took pleasure in making others happy with her beautiful wedding cakes. She loved country music and spent many evenings and weekends listening to the performances of local talent with her husband and friends. She enjoyed camping and spent many summers travelling in Canada and the US with her family. She loved the outdoors and accompanied her husband on ATV trips to their camp and on family snowmobile trips. Margaret also enjoyed playing cards with her husband James at the local church, knitting, sewing, shopping in Calais and Bangor, going to flea markets and yard sales, attending the Sussex Balloon Fest and trying her luck with her favourite scratch and pull-tab lottery tickets. She was an avid fan of hockey and baseball, especially when watching her grandson Jake play in recent years. She was very proud of the accomplishments of all of her children and grandchildren. She was an energetic, warm, funny, supportive and loving person with a beautiful smile who was always there for her family and friends. She somehow managed to smile and laugh even when her illness was making life very difficult for her.
