Obituary of Walter Merrill Denton

The unexpected death of Walter Denton, Husband of the late Diane (Sharpe) Denton occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was born on June 4, 1941 to the late Burnett Laura (Kinghorn) Denton. Walter worked for the Coast Guard and the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years until his retirement. Walter was also known as "Wally D" a seafood salesman. Â He is survived by his children: Timothy (Lorri), Pamela Noel (Jerome), George, Michael (Nancy) and Herman (Michelle) all of the Saint John Area and Lorralie (Jason) of the Miramichi; brothers: Gary of Saint John and Dexter of Grand Bay-Westfield; sister, Carmella Melanson (Laurie) of Grand Bay-Westfield; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, parents and brother, Melvin. Â Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Joshua Group or any local charity would be appreciated by the family.
