Obituary of William Walter Goddard

With saddened hearts, the family of William (Bill) Walter Goddard of Saint John announce his passing on November 3, 2011 after an extended illness. Born in Kenora, Ontario on February 10, 1935, he was the son of Courtney and Nancy Goddard. Bill was a retired 35 year employee of Labatt's Brewery. Bill was always referred to as "Gramp" by neighbourhood children as well as his two grandchildren,Cruise and Shelby Goddard. Besides his wife Rheta, Bill is survived by his two sons Michael (Kelly) of Saint John, Mark (Wendy) of Saint John, two brothers Raymond (Barbara) and Allison (Sharon), and two sisters, Grace (Timothy) and Florence (Jape) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother George (Jackie), and his first wife, Jackie Freeze. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425) with visiting on Friday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00am from Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
