Obituary of Audrey Isabel Gaunce

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Audrey Isabel (Speakman) Gaunce of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Harry William Gaunce, which occurred on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 5, 1929 she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Lockhart) Speakman. Audrey was employed as a teacher with the Province of New Brunswick School Board. She was a member of the Carleton Kirk United Church and served as an elder, member of the U.C.W. and 3 F Club Aquatic Centre. Audrey is survived by three sons, David Gaunce (Brenda), Carl Gaunce (Suzanne) both of Saint John, and Gregory Gaunce of Toronto; one daughter, Sandra Gaunce (Keith Estabrooks) Hampton; one daughter-in-law, Pearl Gaunce of Saint John; three grandchildren, Kevin, Trina, and Ethan; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Ross Gaunce.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home for taking care of Mom for the last five years and the staff of 5CN for there kindness and help during the past few days.  Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
