Obituary of Norman Leo Muise

Norman Leo Muise, 66, of Chance Harbour passed away on April 20th at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Leonard Muise and Helen (Melvin, Muise) Stout. Norman was a long time resident of Chance Harbour. He loved living close to the water where he spent many years as a commercial/pleasure fisherman as well as a "Land Captain". He and his wife, Mary Lou (Bright) enjoyed spending their winters in Florida as well as the many memorable side trips they would take along the way. Norman had a passion for hunting and fishing as well as playing his guitar. He always had a great story to share, a song to sing, and the time to lend a hand. He had a heart that was as big as the man himself. He will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.  Norman is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his children Angela (Danny Morris) of Grand Bay, Norma (Russell Hicks) of Saint John, and Billy Muise (Christa) of Chance Harbour; his father Bill Stout (Helen Hansen) of Springfield; 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, Brother John Muise (Sandra), Sisters Darlene (Dave Sheppard), Linda (Donald Belmore), and Mary (Daryl Hansen), as well as many precious nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers Murray and George, and his youngest son Murray.  Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visitation on Sunday April 22 from 2-8 pm.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 23 at 2:00 pm from Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home Chapel, with a reception to follow at the family home in Chance Harbour. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
