Obituary of Joan Thurza Craft

Joan Thurza Craft of Saint John, wife of John R. Craft, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born at Saint John on August 24, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh and Alberta (MacEachern) Wilkins. Joan was employed for more than 20 years with Royal Trust. She enjoyed bowling, and for eight years traveled to Myrtle Beach to spend the winters. In addition to her husband of 51 years, Joan is survived by her children, John W. Craft (Shelley), Jim Craft (Patsy), Kathy McNulty (Kevin), and Brian Craft (Linda), all of Saint John West; grandchildren Jennifer Craft, Adam Craft (Katelyn), Jeffrey Craft, Kevin McNulty, Kimber Craft, Kaitlyn McNulty, and Kellsi McNulty; great grandchildren Kylie Craft, Hallie Craft, and Kane Craft; siblings David Wilkins (Margo) of Public Landing, Diane Doucette (James) of Browns Flat, Valerie Pitre (Raymond) of Saint John, Raleigh Wilkins (Susan) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Roberta "Sis" Vidito (Eugene) of Bear River, NS, Leonard Wilkins (Joan) of Clifton Royal, and Steven Wilkins (Judy) of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Neil Wilkins. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM from St. Rose de Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
