Obituary of C. Leigh Knox

Colby "Leigh" Knox of Saint John passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his residence. Leigh was born in Saint John on April 11, 1963, the son of the late H. Colby Knox and the late Virginia (Wiggins) Knox. Leigh had worked for NB Power, and was a great woodworker and enjoyed fishing, canoeing and kayaking. When he lived in Lorneville, Leigh played Santa, and could be seen up on the roof waving to the children and local residents. Leigh was a smart and talented man who through unfortunate circumstances never realized the great potential he had within himself. Leigh is survived by Sarah Bernier of Saint John and Adam Bernier of Moncton, and their mother Janice Purdy of Saint John, who were always in his thoughts; his siblings, Karen Adams (Brian) of Musquash, Allison Knox (Melanie) of Plaster Rock, Cheryl Little, Robert Knox (Nicole), and Dale Knox (Wendy), all of Saint John; several nieces and nephews; two great nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service, which will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Lorneville Cemetery, with Mr. Vince Galbraith, DLM officiating. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425).  Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
