Obituary of Beatrice Gertrude Fair

The death of Beatrice Gertrude Fair, wife of Colby Fair, occurred on July 14, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Geary, NB, she was the daughter of the late Talmage and Gertrude (Bettridge) Carr. She was a life member of the Spruce Lake Women's Institute, an adherent of South Bay United Church and a member of the South Bay United Church Women. Besides her husband she is survived by her son Kenneth and his wife Cathy of Saint John, her daughter Glenna Cornford and her husband Derek of Saint John, her brother Donald Carr and his wife Bertha of Geary, her sisters Beulah Carr of Fredericton Junction, Rowena Drummond and her husband Eugene of Geary, her grandchildren Dana Fair (Beth), Kendra Fair, Alison Cornford-Matheson (Andrew), her great-grandson Daniel Fair and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Berla McKay and her brothers Harold, Harley, Baden, Cecil and Lee Carr. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 10:00 AM, from St. Columba Church, 1454 Manawagonish Road, with Rev. Peter Smith officiating. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Alzheimer's Society or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
