Obituary of Lillian Gertrude Watters
The death of Lillian Gertrude Watters of Highview Roadway, Saint John occurred on November 5, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (McLeod) Watters. Lillian was employed as a nurse at the Provincial Hospital for 33 years until her retirement in 1977, she attended Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing and Saint John Vocational High School. She enjoyed photography, cross word puzzles, travelling, sewing and knitting. Lillian remained independent and keen of mind & spirit throughout her life. She is survived by one sister Audrey Gunter of Saint John, two nieces Jane (David) Chapman, Lynn (Norman) Ralston, three nephews Murray (Jane) Watters, David (Marilyn) Watters, Edward (Wendy) Ring, several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by three sisters Edna Watters, Ruth Wilson and Edith Ring, one brother Vernor Watters. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2002 at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506-634-7425). Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Mind Care NB Foundation.
