Obituary of Bertrum L. Short

The death of Bertrum L. Short, of Grand Bay-Westfield, occurred on November 26, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Glenwood, NB, he was the son of the late Samuel Mark and Bertha Jane (Howe) Short. He was employed in farming and with the Maintenance Department of the Oromocto Hospital before his retirement. He was a member of the Orange Lodge, Jones Creek, IOF. He is survived by his sisters May and her husband Roland Whitten of Orillia, ON, Doris Wilson of Grand Bay-Westfield, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Elwood, Lester, Ernest and Edward, and his sisters Lillian and Hazel. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2002, at 11:00 AM, from Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place at the Brown's Flat United Cemetery. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
