Obituary of Josef Reithofer

The death of Josef Reithofer of Darlings Island, NB, companion of Franziska (Kenel) Chawla, occurred on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at his residence. Born in Austria, he was the son of the late Anton and Helena (Strenner) Reithofer. Besides his companion, Franziska, he is survived by her children, Tiberius Kenel (Lesley McNeil) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Isabella Kenel (John Lisson) of Saint John and her grandchildren Lauren and Colin Thompson, one brother Erik Reithofer (Ingrid) of Puepla, Mexico, two nieces, Sabina DiSumma (Vito) and her two children, Dana and Nika of Toronto, ON and Sylvia McMillan and her two sons, Malcolm and Daniel also of Toronto, ON and one nephew, Klaus Reithofer (Birgit) and their five daughters, Sarah, Rebecca, Natasha, Anastasia and Yolanda of Mexico. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
