Obituary of Susan Hurst

The death of Susan (Porter) Hurst of Rothesay, loving wife of Bruce Hurst, occurred October 17, 2007, as a result of breast cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Moncton, daughter of the late George and Margretta (Watters) Porter. Susan loved painting, cooking and observing nature. Surviving, besides her husband Bruce, are one daughter Julia, at home, whom she loved so much; caring sister to Alexandra “Sandy” Milburn (David), Hampton; she was a devoted aunt to Carolina, Laura, Matthew, and Georgie; and many cousins from the Moncton area and Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by one brother Terry Porter. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home (849-2119), 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, with visitation Friday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held Saturday, 2:00pm, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay, with Rev. A. Snelgrove officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
