Obituary of Alice D. G. Melvin

The death of Alice D. G. Melvin of 9 Dalling Ave., Garnett Settlement, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. Alice was born in Saint John, a daughter of Agnes Gray of Passekeag and the late Edward Perry. Besides her mother, she is survived by five sons, Keith Perry, Matthew Melvin, Kevin Melvin, David Perry, and Terrence O'Brien, all of Saint John; two daughters, Shiann Hill and Crystal Rideout, both of Saint John; four brothers, Vaughan Melvin of Alberta, Gordon Melvin of Saint John, Ted Perry of Bloomfield, and John Perry of Miramichi; two sisters, Rose Perry of Passekeag, and Joanne Mattson of Saint John; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
