Obituary of Catherine G. Brown

The death of Mrs. Catherine G. Brown of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home, widow of David J. Brown, occurred at her residence on Saturday, January 15, 2005. Mrs. Brown was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Albert and Ella Rae (Furlong) McInerney, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had been employed with the Saint John School Board until her retirement a number of years ago. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Rae Holdbrook of Mississauga, Ontario. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cathedral Fund would be appreciated.
