Obituary of Elsie G. Abbott

The death of Elsie G. Abbott of 8 Silverstone St., wife of Arthur J. Abbott, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Mrs. Abbott was born in Kingsclear, a daughter of the late Peter and Emily (Wheaton) King, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was a loving wife and mother and had a great love of gardening and animals. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Arnold, Danny, and Peter King; and one sister, Myrtle King. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard J. (Maureen) of Chilliwack, B.C., and Gary P. (Lorraine) of Lawrence Station, N.B.; four daughters, Rose Marie Ridgley (Tom) of Rothesay, Pamela MacLean (Doug) of Saint John, Darlene Bonner (Brian Hersey) of Saint John, and Diane Sentner of Rothesay; one brother, Benny King of Fredericton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joachim's Church on Friday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Kidney Foundation, or the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated.
