Obituary of J. Hugh Evans

The death of J. Hugh Evans of 10 Boyd St. occurred unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, June 25, 2005. Mr. Evans was born in Saint John, a son of Bernice (Fisher) Evans of Saint John, and the late James H. Evans. He was a graduate of St. Malachy's High School and N.B.C.C. Saint john, and had attended U.N.B.S.J. He had been employed with Sears Canada for eleven years. Hugh was a member of Journey of Hope Support Group for Mental Health Consumers. His greatest love was his nieces and family gatherings. Besides his mother, he is survived by one brother, Peter Fish Evans of Saint John; two sisters, Marianna Elizabeth Evans (James Crocker) and Cynthia Ann Evans, both of Saint John; and three nieces. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
