Obituary of Elmer J. Breau

The death of Elmer J. Breau, widow of Blanche M. (Pitre) Breau, occurred at Ridgewood Veterans' Wing on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Mr. Breau was born in Chatham, a son of the late Joseph Norbert and Guillaumine (Savoie) Breau, and had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John, where he had been employed with Mawhinney Plumbing & Heating until his retirement a number of years ago. He had served overseas during the Second World War with the North Shore Regiment and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Elmer had never lost his sense of humour. He was pre-deceased by a son, Fred Breau; and two brothers, Clarence and Arthur Breau. He is survived by three sons, Gerald (Charlie) of Cambridge-Narrows, Allen (Linda) of Grand Bay, and Paul of Saint John; two daughters, Dale Breau (Gary), and Sheila Curwin (Bruce), both of Saint John; two brothers, Dornce and Albert Breau, both of Ontario; three sisters, Lena McIntyre of Miramichi, Norma McLean of Moncton, and Marie Breau of Edmonton; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Thursday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Memorial Service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at seven o'clock
