Obituary of Dorothy N. Maillet

MAILLET-the death of Dorothy N. Maillet, widow of Edgar Maillet, occurred at Carleton-Kirk Lodge on Tuesday, September 12, 2005. Mrs. Maillet was born in England, a daughter of the late Arthur William and Annie Mary (Wren) Baker, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John, where she had been employed with K-Mart. She had been very active in the Handy-capped Association. She was a member of the Women's Auxillary of Carleton Branch #2 and #69 Royal Canadian Legion and the War Brides Association of Canadian; and a Life Member of Carleton Branch #2 Royal Canadian Legion. She was pre-deceased by a brother, George Baker; and three sisters, Sis, Audrey and Flo. She is survived by one son Gerald (Julie) of British Columbia; three daughters, Ann Brideau (Ronald) of the Kingston Peninsula, and Judy Jarvis (David) and Deborah Maillet, both of Saint John; one brother, Len Baker of England; one sister, Nell Warren of England; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at Carleton-Kirk Church on Thursday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Special Olympics or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
