Obituary of Gerald F. Davis
DAVIS-the death of Gerald F. 'Gerry' Davis of 7 Duncairn Ct., husband of Gloria (Fournier) Davis, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2003. Mr. Davis was born in Saint John, a son of the late Charles and Nora (Donovan) Davis, and had been employed as a rigger at Saint John Shipbuilding. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a volunteer with the Saint John Boys and Girls Club and the Boy Scouts of Canada. He was active in the affairs of the Cathedral Parish as a member of the Gentlemen Altar Servers and as a usher. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Mary) and Randy (Carolyn), both of Saint John; three sisters, Donna Laskie and Patricia Goguen, both of Toronto, and Joan McKinney (John) of Hamilton, Ont.; four grandsons, two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cathedral Fund or the Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated.
