Obituary of Grace M. Melanson

The death of Grace M. Melanson of 71 1/2 Mecklenburg St., widow of Edward Melanson, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. Mrs. Melanson was born in Enniskillen, N.B., a daughter of the late John and Katherine (McAloon) McCann, and had lived the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, James, Charles, Clarence, and Alfred McCann; and four sisters, Margaret McCann, Ada McCann, Myrtle Collins, and Agnes Simpson. She is survived by one son Richard 'Rick' Melanson of Saint John; two sisters, Mary and Ruth McCann, both of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., on Friday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. At Grace's request, there will be no visitation.
