Obituary of Rita A. White

WHITE-the death of Rita A. White of Oakville, Ont., and formerly of Saint John, widow of Vincent White, occurred at Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Oakville, on Wednesday, December 28, 2005. Mrs. White was born in Halifax, a daughter of the late William and Madeline (McGuire) Graves, and had resided the greater part of her life in Saint John until moving to Oakville in 1998. She had been a member of Stella Maris Catholic Women's League, the Legion of Mary, and the church choir. She had also been a teacher at Stella Maris Church School for many years. Since moving to Oakville, she had become very active in the affairs of St. Matthew's Church. She is survived by her son, Vincent G. White (Yvonne) of Oakville; two grandchildren, Crystal and Tyler; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
